Charah Breaks Ground On New Headquarters


LOUISVILLE, KY (June 25, 2009) – Charah®, Inc., a leading ash management provider for the coal-fired electric utility industry, today broke ground on its new corporate headquarters building in Blankenbaker Station II in eastern Jefferson County. Kelly Construction has begun the site work on the new facility which will be LEED-certified.

In May 2008, Charah was approved for $350,000 in incentives by Kentucky’s Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) to fund its potential headquarters expansion project to accommodate the company’s growth. The tax incentives helped secure Charah’s decision to keep its corporate headquarters in Louisville.
