Winners of 2008 Top 10 Awards Announced
Local individuals and organizations recognized for technological achievement
Louisville, KY (9/30/08) – The Technology Network of the Greater Louisville Region recently announced the recipients of its 2008 Top 10 Awards. The awards recognize individuals and organizations in ten categories for outstanding achievements in technology intensive projects or initiatives.
The ceremony was in conjunction with the IdeaFestival and the awards were presented during a sold-out dinner on Friday, September 26th at the Kentucky International Convention Center. The event featured keynote speaker, Bridget Brennan - a pioneer in developing marketing and sales strategies that appeal to women.

Community Service Award: Innovative Productivity - Closing the digital divide
Innovative Use of Technology: Charah, Inc. - Going green: Coal ash into sustainable materials
Technology Executive of the Year: Joseph DeVenuto, Norton Healthcare - Leadership through innovative teamwork
Leadership Award: Don Justice, Sullivan University - Shaping the next generation IT workforce
Education Award: JCPS Project Science Math and the Right Technology - Tech knowledge for a brighter future
Women in Technology: Sharon Shrout, Jefferson County Public Schools - Intergrading technology in to teaching
Entrepreneur Award: Lopa Mehrota, Testtoob.com - Science, fun and friendship combine online
Student Technology Leadership Award: Eastern High School - High School Help Desk
Distinguished Technology Company of the Year (55 employees or less): Neuronetrix, Inc. - Medical Tech breakthrough for an enhanced life
Distinguished Technology Company of the Year (56 employees or more): UPS - Advanced technology enabled expansion
