to recycle ash. Additionally, Charah has developed a patent-pending process for Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) slag
beneficiation, one of the most promising new technologies available for IGCC facilities today.
Charah is a charter member of the EPA's Coal Combustion Products Partnership (C2P2) which encourages beneficial use of coal by-products. In
April 2005, Charah was awarded the C2P2 first place for Innovation by the EPA for its outstanding achievements in increasing the amount of
coal combustion products (CCPs) beneficially used. Charah was recognized for its commendable achievements in developing a new, patent-pending concrete
mix which is currently sold under the QUIKRETE® brand name at The Home Depot® stores in the Virginia and St. Louis markets.
